Major Backwater Areas in Trivandrum
Veli and Thiruvallam are the two major backwater areas in Thiruvananthapuram. Thiruvallam (6 km) is popular for canoe rides and Lord Parasurama Temple. On the other hand, Veli (8 km) is bounded by the Veli Lagoon on one side and the Arabian Sea on the other. This site is again a paradise for all the adventure sports lovers.
